The state of Bihar has contributed into Bollywood since its inception. Many actors, writers, lyricists and other artists have worked in the world’s second biggest film industry. Monazir Alam, a resident of Begusarai district in Bihar is the new addition the list of Biharis working in the Hindi film industry. A former student of prestigious AJK MCRC in Jamia Millia Islami (JMI), a Central University in New Delhi, Monazir is making his debut as a writer in the upcoming movie ‘Marksheet’.

Monazir Alam, Script Writer -Marksheet

While talking with the Editor of KishanganjBihar.com (KBC), a delighted Monazir said it is matter of proud for him to work in Bollywood as a film script writer. Being a common man from a small town of Bihar, I could make the way to the mega industry, which altogether enhances my happiness many folds. I am highly thankful to my family members, my friends and near and dear ones for their guidance and good wishes.

Elaborating further about the movie, Monazir said that the plot of Marksheet is inspired from the yesteryears famous education mafia Ranjit Don. In fact, the movie is based on his life and it will unveil the misdeeds of education mafias active in the illegal activities. The movie will also showcase the harsh truth of irregularities and corruption involved in conducting the entrance tests for M.B.B.S, B.Tech and MBA. Nalanda based Kumar Suman Singh alias Ranjit first of all came into limelight in the year 2003, when the police caught him for his alleged involvement in leaking the entrance test papers.

Although Raj Kumar Hirani has made Munna Bhai M.B.B.S on this topic but Marksheet will bring all aspects of Ranjit Don issue on the silver screen. Marksheet is the second directional venture of Rakesh Ranjan Kumar who had made his debut into Bollywood with critically acclaimed ‘Gandhi to Hitlar’. Monazir has given a romantic love touch to story along with fun and enjoyment quotient. Interestingly the director, writer and actor Imran Zahid all belong to the state of Bihar. The shooting of the movie will start in the month of September and it is expected to release next year in the month of March – April.

Hope Monzir Alam’s script will be appreciated by the audience and the movie Marksheet becomes a big hit at the Box office.
