AMU officials express satisfaction (A Step towards Celebration)

Kishanganj, Dec 19 (PTI) A team of Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) officials inspected the 224.2 acre plot acquired for its proposed study centre in Bihar's Kishanganj district and expressed satisfaction over it. Arifuddin Ahmed, AMU deputy registrar heading the central university team told reporters that the report would be submitted to the university vice-chancellor soon to enable him to take the decision on the study centre. Besides Ahmed, the AMU team comprised legal officer Md Mujahid and observers Md Wasiuddin and Faiyaz Nizam. District magistrate Sandeep Kumar Pudkalkutti said the state government has met its obligation towards setting up the AMU study centre at Kishanganj by making available the required land in one piece. The AMU proposed study centre at Kishanganj had run into rough weather with the Centre and the state government blaming each for the delay on one pretext or the other over the past two years.
