Likewise the entire country, the people of Kishanganj district celebrated the festival of Eid-ul-Fitr with great fervour and enthusiasm. Altough the weather was quite hot and humid, but it couldn't stop the common people to celebrate the festival of sewai and friendship. By 9 am, the namaaz of Eid-ul-Fitr was offered in most of the Eidghas of Kishanganj. After the namaaz people visited each others homes and shared happiness with traditional sewai. Along with Muslims, the non Muslims too enjoyed the festival with sweet sewaiyaan and salty dishes chhole and dahibada. Eid ul Fitr is the most important festival for the people following Islam, but it equally fascinates people of other religious faiths as well.
